Ossipee Lake
Ossipee Lake, the 7th largest lake in New Hampshire, may quietly boast the nicest views of them all. With Mount Chocorua and the Presidentials to the North and West, the views can be unsurpassed. Coupled with the quiet environment and the smaller boats of Ossipee Lake, Ossipee Lake is a favorite to many locals and visitors alike. Besides the large 3,091 acre main lake area, Berry Bay (145 acres), Leavitt Bay (176 acres) and Broad Bay (464 acres) all make up Ossipee Lake, tied together by a passable channel. Ossipee Lake is encompassed by the towns of Ossipee and Freedom.
The Ossipee Lake Alliance is a local group working to protect and preserve the Ossipee Lake area. Their site is full of fun Ossipee Lake facts and ways that you can help protect this beautiful environment.
